Will: BEAN, Jane McGregor or, wife pf Andrew Bean, Engineer, Sheriffmuirlands, Causewayhead, near Stirling, died 18th May 1911, at Causewayhead, aforesaid, testate. Confirmation granted at Stirling, 31st July, to the said Andrew Bean, and Alexander Bean, Engineer, and John Bean, both at Sheriffmuirlands aforesaid, her sons, Executors nominated in Will or Deed, dated 27th March 1905, and recorded in Court Books of Commissariot of Stirling 25th July 1911. Obit: THRESHING MILL OWNER DEAD - The death took place suddenly from influenza, at his residence, Sheriffmuirlands, Causewayhead, on Wednesday of last week, of Mr Alex Bean, threshing machine proprietor. Mr Bean, who, was about forty-five years of age, was the elder son of the late Mr Andrew Bean, Causewayhead, who established the business which has now a wide connection and introduced the first traction engine into Scotland. On the death of his father, deceased, along with a younger brother, carried on the business and was widely known throughout the whole district around Stirling and Alloa. He was unmarried. Probate: 1923 Bean, Alexander, Engineer, Sheriffmuirlands, Causewayhead, nr Stirling, died 11th Jan. 1922 at Causewayhead, testate. Confirmation Stirling, 25 June to John Bean, Engineer, & Jane Bean, Sheriffmuirlands aforesaid, Executors. Will dated 24th Nov. 1920, recorded Stirling 19th June 1923.
